What
is Feng Shui?
A
house is four walls and a roof, but a home is the feeling that
we create within our living space. It is said that our home is
where our heart is. And, when our home is out of balance it not
only affects our heart, but can have a profound effect on many
other aspects of our life as well.
Have
you ever had one of those days when everything just seems to fall
into place like clockwork? Your appointments are on time, you
run into just the right people, you find the book you have been
searching for. You feel the positive energy around you, your heart
soars and you feel like you own the world. Everything seems to
be in perfect balance.
In
its simplest form Feng Shui is about achieving that perfect balance.
Since,
we are all vibrational beings living in a vibrational universe
we are connected vibrationally to each other. Every minute of
every day we are affected subconsciously by the energy of the
people and items that surround us. Humans instinctively feel tension
or joy when they walk into a room. Children can pick up on the
vibes of their parents. Sometimes we just get the gut feeling
when things don’t feel right. It is impossible to be separated
from the environment that we live and work in.
The
Chinese believed that chi or Qi (chee) the universal life force
surrounds us and affects us in many ways. Although, this life
force is invisible to the naked eye it can be felt and controlled
to alter the energy flow in an environment and therefore, have
a direct impact on the well-being of the occupants in either a
negative or positive way.

There
are several different schools of Feng Shui and several techniques
that are practiced. The process can be complex and can have many
different aspects to the analysis.
At
ZenErgie
Living.™, we
practice both the Form and Compass School methods of Feng Shui.
Through the use of precise compass readings and the Lo Sho Square,
proper remedies can be suggested that will not only improve the
energy flow in the environment, but may also bring dramatic changes
to the occupant’s lives as well when the life aspiration
sectors are activated.
In
addition, we offer holistic design suggestions that balance the
five elements (water, wood, fire, earth and metal) within a room
to create environments that are aesthetically pleasing to the
eye as well as warm and comfortable.
We
believe that Feng Shui is like acupuncture for the dwelling and
that by working in harmony with nature we can energize the chi
in the environoment to bring about balance, tranquility and success.
What
Feng Shui is not
There
are some major misconceptions about what Feng Shui really is.
First, we must dispel the belief that Feng Shui is a religion,
it is NOT. Second, some people believe that Feng Shui is based
on superstition.
The
Feng Shui practiced by ZenErgie
Living.™
has nothing to do with superstition, but is based on 1000’s
of years of doing the same thing over and over again and getting
the same results passed down from generation to generation.
ZenErgie
Living.™
studies how the environment affects the occupants and suggests
certain remedies that can change the chi and balance the energy
in the dwelling creating well-being in the lives of the people
living or working in that environment.
